I bought this microscope to have and leave in the US when visiting from Europe. I use it to study moss. It works o.k. but the field of vision is fairly limited and the incident lighting is too weak. It was smaller than I expected. The switching between 20 and 40 works fine, you can just turn the head. Both of the dual lights use the same bulb; the microscope comes with one spare light, I have not found out where and how to order further fitting replacements, the manual gives no information on that. Overall worth the money.
