The product does have an adhesive back, its just hard to peel off only the protective layer and so the reviewers saying there wasnt one probably peeled off the adhesive strip itself, not the protective part.The light diffuses very nicely and so far is sticking well. 4 stars because although it did turn on with 5V, it kept flashing off. I am using it as a bias light for my TV (42" and this was the perfect length, by the way) and when plugged in to the TV's USB port the strip does not stay on, so I had to run it to an external power source. Not as pretty but still works well and has a good natural white (I went with 4000k) that is not too yellow or too white.Stuck well, and worked perfect for under cabinets.This light is extremely bright and can be shaped in almost any position. My wife had a lighted round mirror but the led strip it uses internally was literally dull. I used a 5V battery bank and spliced in the mirrors switch and voila! The possibilities for this new style of cob light are limitless.Very excited to own this, so when it I got it I plugged it into the power back I had planned on coupling this with. Found out that smaller or older power banks will cause it to flicker. Plugged it into a new bank I own and it worked GREAT. Super bright. Finally got around to fitting it onto my motorcycle. I planned the path and laced the strip through the frame. When I peeled the backing off the strip, there was NO ADHESIVE!! This was VERY deceptive advertising.Do not purchase "Red" if you are expecting "Red." It is Magenta/Pink.5V? I don't think so. Try 12V.And, no double-sided adhesive back? Kind of pointless as a stick on strip, no?Shipping took a bit, but it appears to be a reasonable quality product.
