I love this light tape. I installed it under my kitchen cabinets for the ambient light and task lighting when I am chopping food. The lights are bright enough for this but they dim enough to add just a glow to the kitchen at night.I had previously ordered lights in the long plastic tubing to run under the cabinets but they were bulky and we had problems with the plug in and it’s fuse. Having tried them, my cabinets were already grooved underneath and near the front of the cabinets for the continuous tape strip which made installation super easy (see photo). Without the groove between the cabinets, it would’ve been a bit more difficult. I also previously had an outlet installed inside one of the end cabinets so I wouldn’t have a cord running from the lights to the outlet. The whole we drilled in the outlet cabinet for the tape to feed out was large enough for the on/off/dimmer switch to fit through so I have access to the switch without having to get in the cabinet.The dimmer feature is nice and easy to use. I did not get a remote with the lights which would have been nice but I am pleased anyway.Overall I would rate the very high. They seem delicate and at first I was worried about tearing the tape as I unrolled it for installation but it was sturdy and I had no problem. It’s kind of amazing that such a small light string can do the job of contractor -grade cabinet lighting. And at a bargain. I would recommend this to others and I will order these again if I have another project calling for hidden lighting.
