Great waterproof directional LED’s.I installed the 100ft model on the underside of the lip at the top of my 6ft wooden privacy fence, and it gives a great “wall wash” effect towards the ground. They have been installed 3 months at the time of these photos and have survived freezing temps and several rain storms including high wind, and there has been no issue with water seepage or wind-driven rain entering the strip or power connection.Tips for installers-1. Lay the strip out along the place you intend to install and “untwist” the strip if it is kinked from being on the roll so it will lay flat when you screw in the hangers. Laying out the LED strip in a line also reduces stress on the last hanger trying to hold up the slack as you go on to screw in the next hanger.2. Do the math ahead of time to know how many hangers you have over the length of the strip. Make sure you space them out properly so you don’t run out!3. If you can’t get the hanger tight enough, consider screwing through the plastic hanger closer to the part that goes up and around the LED strip- see my last photo for an example. There’s no hole here but it will go through with some convincing; just push that sharp screw through the plastic with your drill. (The actual manufactured screw hole will be empty). I did this on at least 1/2 of my hangers to eke the strip nice and tight so that it would lay flat and keep the light even. In a perfect world these hangers would work better and the user wouldn’t have to do this, but it works just fine.All in all, I am very satisfied and everyone that comes over and sees my backyard after dusk/at night wants to know how I did it!
