I wanted to get something that I could use underneath a set of upper cabinets. This LED strip worked perfectly. Powered by 12volts DC, the power supply plugs into a standard 120v socket and connects to what I like to call the "little black box" and then the strip of LED's plugs into the LBB as well. I mounted the light strip under the cabinets using the peel and stick backing of the strip. My only concern is how long the double sided sticky tape will last. Seems to be a decent stick so far, but 3M VHB would have been better. Simply tucked away behind the front trim of my cabinets, the strip installed in about 5 minutes. The kit also includes small plastic clips with small wood screws to place along the length of the LED strip. I decided to use the sticky tape only, I will see how long it lasts and then add the clips if needed. I attached the LBB (control box) at the end, also out of site with it's included sticky. Ran the power to an undercabinet mounted plug (very handy that is) To turn it on I simply wave my hand within 6 inches of the sensors on the front of the LBB and the light strip toggles on, or off. Works great. Simply to install. Neat little touchless power switch. Great if you have your hands full or they're dirty. Might have to get more of these things. They offer a great way to add lighting in all kinds of places. Just be aware, you'll want to put the strip somewhere you cannot directly see it, and you will need a plug at one end, or within the power block's cord range, which is about 5' long.
