In my garage are a series of LED lights which are all individually powered, each with their own 12V 1A power supply. Each of these is plugged into an outlet extender, which is then plugged into a switched outlet. This works, but is an eyesore and just irritates me knowing how lazily these lights were installed. So, using this power supply, I am able to connect the LEDs and power them with a single unit. This also lets me buy just one LED controller so I can interact with all the strips as one.This power supply works perfectly for me, and for this application is just what I needed. I haven't had any issues with the power supply itself, except when initially plugging it in; the LEDs tend to flicker slightly for a few seconds, but quickly smooth out and emit a consistent light. But that's not a big deal for me, so I think the product is worthy of 5-stars.
